The Barbara Grice Memorial Spay and Neuter Clinic Position Overview The Pensacola Humane Society is seeking a Florida-licensed veterinarian for full-time work at our Spay and Neuter Clinic. Candidates should have a passion for our mission of providing low-cost spay/neuter services to the public and rescue pets to reduce the number of pets euthanized in area shelters. Vet will be supported by a team of vet technicians and vet assistants. Additional training, CE credits, and relocation reimbursement may be available to the right candidate. Working Conditions Work environment may have regular exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as zoonotic disease, parasites, dirt, dust, pollen, odors, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, pathogenic substances, animal attacks or animal bites. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation. Hours typically are Monday through Thursday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Terms of Employment The Spay-Neuter Surgeon will be expected to work approximately ten (10) hours per day, with every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. This position is considered to be an At-Will-Employment. The salary for this position is established by the Executive Director and the Medical Director. The benefits for this position are set out in the staff handbook, and from time to time are amended. Evaluation Performance of this job is evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustees’ policy on Evaluation. The Executive Director and Medical Director will conduct the evaluation of this position. |
